Joe Bucciero is a Postgraduate Research Associate in the Department of Art & Archaeology, where he recently defended his dissertation, New Objectives: Possibilities for Painting in 1920s Germany. His work has received support from the DAAD and the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin—Preußischer Kulturbesitz and has been, or will be, published in outlets including The New York Review of Books, The Nation, and 21: Inquiries into Art, History, and the Visual, as well as in books produced by Blank Forms, Bloomsbury, and Peter Lang.
