Sara Green



Sara Green is a first-year Ph.D. student focusing on modern and contemporary art. Her primary interests include visual art in 20th century France and intersections between artistic practices and literature. Sara has B.A. in Art History and French from Oberlin College, where she completed an honor’s thesis on metafictional works by authors Jorge Semprún and Patrick Modiano. In 2015, Sara received an M.A. from the Williams College Graduate Program in the History of Art. Her Master’s Qualifying Paper examined photographic and poetic works by the artist Denis Roche. While at Williams, Sara interned at the Clark Art Institute and its Research and Academic Program. She has also held positions as a Curatorial Assistant at the Allen Memorial Art Museum, and as a Researcher on the Joan Mitchell Catalogue Raisonné project.
