Bio/Description

Yuchen Wang is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Art and Archaeology at Princeton University, focusing on Chinese art. His research spans material culture, the history of books, and literary studies. Currently, he is exploring the intermediality and materiality of painting, printmaking, and writing in 17th- and 18th-century China.

Having completed his undergraduate education in art history at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and being married to an artist, Wang gains unique insights into the making process, enhancing his understanding of art. Prior to his doctoral studies, he completed his master's degree at the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU.
