Junior and Senior majors met for a full day to present their independent projects and thesis topics and to learn from each other.
The spectrum of ideas among art history majors was enthralling. Research topics ranged from modern Indian visual culture to Fin de Siêcle France; from female cyborgs to confederate monuments; from ecological architecture to the evolution of Chinese landscape painting...and beyond.
Then, practice of art students hosted the whole group in their studios, explaining their concepts and processes, and receiving thought-provoking questions and feedback in return.
A full day of non-stop immersion in the theory and practice of art, the Colloquium created an invaluable space for the A&A undergraduate community to encourage, challenge, and inspire one another.
