ART 466 S17

Class Trips

February 17, 2017

Three classes traveling over spring break include ART448/ECS Seminar in 17th- and 18th-Century Art with Professor Thomas Da Costa Kaufmann to Prague, ART468/LAS The Art and Politics of Ancient Maya Courts with Lecturer and PU Art Museum Curator Bryan Just to Chiapas, Mexico, and ART466/ARC/URB/LAS The Havana Lessons: City, Architecture and Society with Professor Esther da Costa Meyer and Visiting Professor Eduardo Rodriguez Fernandez to Havana, Cuba. Participation in a course with a break-week trip allows students to combine their classroom studies with intensive encounters of artworks in foreign collections, and monuments of art and architecture in their real-life settings, often with the assistance of local scholars.
